ವಾಸ್ತವ-ಒಂದು

ಉರಿ ಉರಿ ಬಿಸಿಲು. ಅಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಇಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಮನೆ. ಒಂದೇ ಬಸ್ ಸ್ಟಾಂಡು. ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಸಲ ಬಂದು ಹೋಗೋ ಬಸ್ಸು. ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಬಂದಂಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಐಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಡಿ ಮಾರುವವನು ಒಂದು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬೆವರು ಒರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಗಾಡಿ ತಳ್ಳುತ್ತ ಬಸ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಕಡೆಗೇ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.
ಅಂಥ ಬಿಸಿಲನ್ನೂ ತಂಪಾಗಿಸುವಂಥ , ಐಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಡಿಗಳೂ ನಾಚಿ ನೀರಾಗುವಂಥ, ಬಾರದೇ ಇರೋ ಬಸ್ಸೂ ಕೂಡ ಓಡೋಡಿ ಬಂದು ಹೊತ್ತ್ಹೊಯ್ಯುವಂಥ , ಕೆಂಪು ಚೂಡಿದಾರ್ ಉಟ್ಟ, ಮೂಗುತಿ ಇಟ್ಟ, ಹೂ ಮೂಡಿದ ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ಹುಡುಗಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ಬಸ್ ಸ್ಟಾಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಯುತ್ತ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಳು.

ಅಂದು ಭಾನುವಾರ. ಗಂಟೆ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು.

ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಆಚೆಗಿದ್ದ ಎರಡನ್ಥಸ್ಥಿನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪುಟ್ಟ ರೂಮೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಉಂಡು-ತಿಂದು-ತೇಗಿ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶಂಭು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಳಾಡುತ್ತ ಸುಂದರ ಕನಸೊಂದರ ತಿಂಡಿ ಸವಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.

ನೀಲಿ ಸೀರೆಯುಟ್ಟು, ಕೈಗಳ ಬಳೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಕಾಲಗಳ ಗೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಘಲ-ಘಲನೆ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಮುಂದೆ-ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹುಡುಗಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಶಂಭು ಯಾವುದೋ ವಿಚಾರದ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಕಾಡಿಸುತ್ತ-ಪೀಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಹಿಂದೆ-ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಹು ದೂರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ .
ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಮುಂದೆ ತುಂಬು ಗತ್ತಲು ಕವಿದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅವನು ಏನೂ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವಳು ಯಾಕೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆನ್ನ್ನುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
ಆ ಕತ್ತಲು ಸಮೀಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಅವಳು ಅದರ ಒಳ ಹೊಕ್ಕು ಕನ್ಮರೆಯಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
ಅವನು ನಿರಾಸೆಯ, ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿದ ಕಂಗಳಿಂದ, ಬಳಲಿ ಬೆಂಡಾದವನಂತೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕುಸಿದು ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಅನುಭವ. ಕಣ್ತೆರೆದು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗೋಡೆಗಳು. ಗಡಿಯಾರ ಕೂಗಿ-ಕೂಗಿ ಸುಸ್ತಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತುಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆದು ಎದ್ದವನಂತೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಬೆವರಿಂದ ತ್ಹೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದವು.

ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಿಂದೆದ್ದು ಕುಳಿತು ಯೋಚಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಶಂಭುವಿಗೆ ಮೂಡಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಎರಡು. ಅವಳು ಯಾರಿರಬಹುದು? ಆ ವಿಚಾರವಾದರೂ ಏನಿರಬಹುದು?. ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದು ಒಂಭತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ, ಎದ್ದಿರುವುದು ಹನ್ನೆರಡಕ್ಕೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಇದು ಹಗಲು ಗನಸೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕನಸೇ? ಹಗಲುಗನಸಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ನಿಜವಾಗುವುದೇ?

ಉತ್ತರ ಹುಡುಕಲು ಶಂಭು ಹಾಸಿಗೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೊರಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕನಸು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು.
ಕನಸಿನಿಂದಲೇ ತಲೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕ ಆ ವಿಚಾರ 'ಮುಂದುವರಿಕೆ'ಯ ಆಸೆಯನ್ನು ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಚಿವುಟಿಹಾಕಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಬಾರದ ನಿದ್ದ್ರೆಗೆ ಶಪಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಶಂಭು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಕಿಟಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಿರ್ರ್ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕಂಡಿದ್ದು ಐಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಡಿಯ ಗಾಡಿ. ಥಟ್ಟನೆ ಮನದ ಕಡಲೊಳಗೆ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನೆನಪೊಂದು ಮಿಂಚಂತೆ ಮಿನುಗಿ ಮಾಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

look back to those 'First time on net' days...

Well, I just clicked 'oldest' link in my gmail chat history folder, may be an hour ago.

And there, I became curious to see what is that we used to chat in those earlier days(not far ago, around 4-6 years back, what makes it interesting is that we were still in college)... and the kind of language we were using there adds more fun to it.

I took the pain of compiling few, and I am placing those snippets here... I am sure you will go back and check your gmail(Don't know about yahoo messenger, as I have never used it) today:)... at some places, continuity is missing..don't remember the reason though. ANONYMITY is maintained:)
